FTP Plan Typical Setups

FTP plans can be setup just about any way desired, however by default, each FTP plan is setup as follows (Plan A shown as example):

Master Account

The Master account allows full access to all your FTP accounts. This account can upload or download to or from any of the other accounts (seen as folders).

Drop-off Account

A single drop-off account is provided for receiving files from others. A simple name and password is used to allow access. Users can upload using a web browser or a standard FTP client software. When a file is finished uploading to your account, users will see a notification screen, but cannot see any files that have been uploaded, including files they have uploaded.

If so arranged with us, when the upload is fully received, your account will send you an email notification of the files arrival.

Pickup Accounts

Two Pickup accounts are provided. Each one is accessed separately with a name and password (changeable by the holder of the Master account). These accounts can also upload files as well as download them. This allows for easier use by clients and other users wishing to exchange files.

Total Transfer Allowance

All the accounts indicated above combine into a single account that accumulates all transfer amounts and counts against your annual transfer limit. These limits are extendable at any time by contacting us.

If you exceed your annual transfer allowance, the extra usage will be billed to you each month until the annual renewal of your account. See Terms and Conditions for more information and limitations.
